FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I don't see my insurance plan listed - why is that?

I strive to provide the highest quality of care, which requires dedicating sufficient time and resources to each client. Unfortunately, some insurance plans have extensive administrative demands and offer reimbursement rates that are not sustainable without compromising the quality of care. This has led me to selectively partner with insurance providers that support the therapeutic process effectively.

What are the benefits of paying out-of-pocket for therapy?

Choosing to pay out-of-pocket provides several benefits:

  • Greater Confidentiality: Your therapy details are not reported to insurance companies.
  • Full Control: You and I determine the course of your therapy without outside influences.
  • Flexibility: More flexible scheduling and a wider range of therapy options.
  • Commitment to Care: Investing in therapy directly reflects a commitment to your personal growth and well-being, which can be empowering and transformative.
What can I expect in therapy with you?

Therapy with me is a collaborative, supportive, and tailored process aimed at helping you understand yourself better and achieve your personal goals. We will work together to uncover the roots of the issues you face, develop new coping strategies, and strengthen your ability to handle life’s challenges. Expect a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings and start your journey towards healing.

I see your practice is located in a church classroom. Are you affiliated with the church or any religious organization, and can I incorporate my spiritual beliefs or faith into our therapy sessions?

While my practice is based in a church classroom, I am not affiliated with this or any other church, faith, or religious organization. My practice is secular, but I understand and respect the importance of spiritual beliefs in personal wellness. If incorporating your faith into our therapy sessions is something you find valuable, I am more than willing to explore and integrate those beliefs into our work together.
